On March 10, 2020, hours before the United States came to a complete halt due to the pandemic, "The Brothers" gathered at Madison Square Garden to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band, the last show the band played under that name, it was on October 28, 2014 at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan. Michelle arbeitet in dem Finanzkonzern ihres Vaters. Sie versucht sich dort einen eigenen Namen zu machen, was jedoch nicht so leicht ist. Zumal ihre Gedanken schon bald von ganz anderen Dingen in Beschlag genommen werden. In einem Restaurant lernt sie Ryan kennen, der sofort Interesse an ihr zeigt. Er verführt sie. Mehr noch, er zeigt ihr, was sie eigentlich begehrt. Ryan und Michelle beginnen eine S/M-Beziehung, bei der sie sich ihm immer mehr ausliefern muss. Das geht soweit, dass sogar ihre Arbeit darunter leidet, da sie bei wichtigen Terminen entweder nicht dabei ist oder aber von Ryan so sehr abgelenkt wird. Zu spät erkennt Michelle, dass Ryan noch ganz andere Ziele verfolgt und ihr Leben zu entgleisen droht.
